A widespread internet disruption has impacted dozens websites and applications globally, as users reporting issues accessing the internet following issues at Amazon’s cloud computing service.

The disrupted services encompass the social media app Snapchat, the gaming platform Roblox, Signal, and the language learning app Duolingo, along with multiple Amazon-managed operations including its main retail platform and the Ring security doorbell company.

In the UK, Lloyds bank was impacted as well as its branches Halifax and Bank of Scotland, with also reports of difficulties using the HM Revenue and Customs site on the start of the week.
