Helicopter Spirals Uncontrollably into Palm Trees at Frequented California Shoreline
An aircraft soaring over a crowded California coastline abruptly commenced twirling uncontrollably, ultimately descending rapidly and plunging into a line of palm fronds as onlookers looked on.
Footage shared on social media show the aircraft starting to spin above the beach then descending towards the perimeter of the shore, where it ends up lodged amidst palm groves and a staircase close to the Pacific Coast highway.
Rescue Operation Update
The Huntington Beach fire department stated five people were transported to a medical facility including a pair who were in the chopper and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” subsequent to the incident on that day.
Three persons on the pavement were injured. Specifics on their wounds were not immediately available.
The cause of the crash was not immediately released.
