In a surprising partnership that challenges conventional expectations, Ubisoft has unveiled an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Revealed
According to the formal release, "A mysterious encounter draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where hints of forbidden ceremonies and fearsome transformations resonate through the darkness." The plot introduces a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a clandestine sect.
The questline concentrates on "peculiar experiments and a monstrous enemy" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Transformations
The trailer features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview concludes with a powerful sequence showing a character, probably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
